Ernest Miller Hemingway (July 21, 1899 – July 2, 1961) was an American writer and Nobel Prize laureate. He is considered one of the founders of one of the most influential literary genres, the "literary chronicle".[2] Hemingway's power of expression and mastery of character description have led him to be called the father of modern literature.
