Read this somewhere and it absolutely makes sense.
Relationships don't follow a script. Some couples can date for a decade, get married and divorce within a year, while strangers who hook up on day one can last a lifetime. Whether you marry in six months or ten years, doing things "by the book" is no guarantee of success.
