My parents are hosting so many people this weekend for my youngest sister's grad party. I've been relegated to sleeping in my van. Just in time, the weather will be mid 90s and humid this weekend. The Sleep-in saunaโ„ข๏ธ

How do you literally just get back from a beautiful trip to Iceland and feel that way so soon afterwards? Is it the macro or the micro?

And lastly, finished up with the top rated course in Iowa: Wildcat Bluff. Really beautiful and well maintained and difficult course! Definitely pro-level from the longs, but I played the short tees. course is mostly wooded with a few open long holes. A lot of tight lines but the underbrush was well cleared so it was easy to find discs. I played about as well as I could ever play for woods golf, hit a lot of lines, and surprisingly bagged a few birdies. Maybe my favorite part about the course is the distances weren't crazy. If you could hit your lineand get through the trees unscathed, you'd have a shot for bird. You didn't need to do all that and have the most powerful, far shot of your life on top of it. I can see why this course is #1. Bugs were bad. But played it solo, empty course all to myself and it was beautiful and so fun! A few amazing holes!

Got my van back, so turning back. First stop? Sunnyside in Atlantic, Iowa. I'd played here once before two years ago. I had to rush a bit because it was getting late and the sun was going down. The course seemed pretty unchanged from the first time. Some fun lines, a couple great downhill shots! Good mix of trees vs open shots, and meanders through a pretty large park in a pretty small town. I finished with thunder rumbling in the distance. A distance that quickly shrank as I raced out of the town to try and stay ahead of the storm.

Next up: Treasure Cove on the Iowa Western Community College. Honestly, incredible for being on a college campus. Made me wish my school had a course back in the day. Super well maintained, baskets were really grabby with my putts. Good variety of tree shots, uphill and downhill across a ravine. Some unique shots and views. And there's a whole different set of tee pads to play next time!

First up was the #2 course in wisconsin and the only place I've ever played that had a full clubhouse with a bar for a disc golf course (should expect the bar in WI tho). Rollin Ridge was incredibly well maintained and not too busy on a Saturday afternoon. Almost all woods golf with tight lines. Not my strong suit. But played it respectably from the intermediates. Great shot variety and amenities, exceptional really for disc golf. Not the most scenic course for views but beautiful nonetheless.

Since I've been stuck in the midwest, I've gotten a chance to play some pretty highly ranked courses. Including Rollin Ridge at the recommendation of @jakeacasey and 2 of the top courses in Iowa. So here's a disc golf trip recap (will add to it if I play more!)
