Airdrops usually reward what people did before things were obvious.
On Base, that’s why I’m paying attention to protocols with: real usage, clear incentive design, and limited dilution.
Variational fits that profile well so far. A capped points system and meaningful allocation already remove a lot of uncertainty. If you’re active early, the math doesn’t work against you.
Not guaranteed, but structurally interesting.
