My DeFi Journey:
My journey in the world of decentralized finance (DeFi) has been full of ups and downs. I've had both successes and losses. Here’s a look at my experiences.
Harsh Lesson:
I first learned about DeFi through a token launch of what turned out to be a scam gaming coin. They launched a pool with high annual percentage yields (APY) for the same scam token. I deposited my USDC into this pool and lost my money. This was a hard lesson, but it taught me to be more careful and do better research more about DeFi before investing.
A Turnaround: The Success with GMX
Things got better when I found GMX on Arbitrum. I learnt about oracle based Perp dexes, used it wisely and became eligible for an ARB airdrop, receiving 4,200 tokens. Being from a third-world country, this money helped me build a stable and big portfolio, something I couldn’t have done otherwise.
Pendle:
After learning about Pendle, I became quite sure that DeFi will eat most of TradFi volume one day soon.
