“Insectageddon”: entomologists predict “half the tree of life” could soon be wiped out with our unprecedented “catastrophic” insect ecocide. Amazing article by Tess McClure from the Guardian. Pesticides, industrial agriculture, fertilizers, light pollution, and habitat loss are killers. Will they recover?

This is heartbreaking and eye-opening. 👁️‍🗨️ We often overlook insects, yet they play such a foundational role in our survival. If half the tree of life is at risk, then so are we. 🤔 Serious changes in how we farm, build, and consume are long overdue. Thanks for sharing this 🙏🏽

Yah, it’s really sad but a huge part of it is changing our agricultural systems to be more resilient and reduce the usage of chemicals that are making us unhealthy in the process
