Many parents leave a small strand of their child's hair after the first haircut as a keepsake. But John Reznikoff went further, and began collecting celebrity hair.
Now John is a world record holder, his collection includes the hair of such famous people as Elvis Presley, Beethoven, Abraham Lincoln, John F. Kennedy and even Marilyn Monroe.
The hair collection, which is now insured for $1 million, is John Reznikoff's pride and joy, as they tell important stories from the past. Although the hair collection seems strange today, a few decades ago it was equivalent to owning an autograph and a real status symbol.
