I personally don't see anything in the act that couldn't have been implemented with tech instead of bureaucracy and leeches in the middle that will ultimately defeat the financial freedom crypto was supposed to be all about.
Once they get their claws in, scumbag middle-men will dig deeper and deeper and the nannystate will be entangled all over crypto.
I understand Fred's point that we need to get something in place, but this absolutely feels like round peg square hole at 10x.
