While Jalinda enjoys her instructor’s lessons, her roommate, Carol, cannot abide by how he, “drones on about every detail, excessively moralizing the character’s choices.” Jalinda encouraged her to give him a chance. At one point Carol threw up her hands and said, “No. He’s too didactic and pedantic. I’ve made up my mind. I’m dropping the course.”
