Win
AKA SHEW, is a guiding principle I have held during most of my web3 journey. Some may think it folly to live a life founded on exuberant generosity. I counter, if applied universally there is little that could go wrong.
The realists may claim that offering things to others with no strings attached will be exploited by the greedier among us. All systems have their hidden costs and freeloaders. The police-state enforced capitalistic societies cannot absolutely eliminate thieves or the nebulous “shrinkage”.
Sharing with everyone is perhaps too idealistic and not enough will adopt it as core precept for it to gain mass adoption. That is perfectly fine with me. I prefer to follow the laws of the universe. The same laws that inspired Rumi to pen the lovely aphorism,
“And still,
After all this time,
the Sun has never said
to the Earth, ‘You owe me.’
Look what happens with love like that.
It lights up the sky.”
So call me quixotic, I shall continue give of myself to others. Reality be damned.
