There is a corner of the internet that is convinced “supposably” is not a word. They think their limited lexicon is supposably the authority on the matter. It is inconceivable that they may be wrong.
“Why would we need that word if we already have supposedly?” Quipped my wife when I informed her that it was in fact a word.
“I don’t know,” I answered, “but it’s been around since the early 17th century according to Merriam-Webster.”
