In the AI world, we often say, you can just do things. This is what any vibe coder has definitely picked up. It is easy to vibe code - the question is, will you also maintain? Raycast raised $30 million to bring their launcher from macOS to other platforms. They also have an ecosystem play, which one can think of as miniapps. And now we have a solo dev opensourcing the ability on Linux! The developer here focused on extension compatibility - honestly, very important. We can think of this as miniapps working on Farcaster, but also on Base (TBA). We will see it come to macOS and Windows. So far I see 4 open (and 5 closed) issues on Github I should probably clarify that it needs a better license to be truly open source but I am excited to see this.
