You know what’s missing from Farcaster? A mechanism to natively keep track of IRL meets. As in, I meet a fellow Farcaster user, we tap our phones via NFC or something, and our FIDs are now linked in a similar way to follows, except instead it’s proof that we’ve met IRL. And then later we can go back to the app and see the list of people we’ve met and when. Anyone building this?

Now that you mention it, I did use icebreaker at the previous FarCon. It’s a separate UI / website though, right? I’d love to have the list of my past IRL meets directly in Warpcast

That sounds like a mission for @worthalter ! What about an automatically generated POAP for IRL Farcaster interactions?

Was just thinking about this this morning Feels like slightly too much friction each time

There is still a lot of friction but commercial upside to create is probably missing unless part of flywheel feature from Apple. My thought would be: A ‘hot mode/networking mode’ in your Apple Wallet would work well using live widgets and simple 1 click button to connect. Connections would be a prelim connection and you can go back to the ‘holding bay’ post event to confirm or deny it,
