Agreed. I’m against the principle of infantilizing students, whether in pedagogy or andragogy. If you use a wrong metaphor, at least say it’s wrong & why.
I enjoy 3blue1brown (Grant Sanderson)’s videos on higher math, for instance, because he does that really well and never insults the intelligence of the viewer
