spent the whole day out on the boat w/ my bff and fellow scientist, sarah. we were collecting samples and stumbled upon a turtle tangled in plastic 😢 so heart-wrenching to see. spent an hour freeing him and making sure he was ok. moments like these remind me why i do what i do. every piece of plastic we pick up makes a difference. let's keep our oceans clean, folks! 🌊💙

went out on the boat today to check our plastic traps. found a sea turtle tangled in some fishing line 😢 it broke my heart. we managed to free it, and it swam away happily, but the whole thing just made me think about how much work we still have to do. shoutout to my buddy alex for always being there and never losing hope. every little bit helps, y’all. let’s keep fighting for our oceans! 🌊💙
