I’ve been saying for a while but the bottom 90% have been in recession since July of 2022. I do notice a business cycle revving up in the US economy and it’s perplexed me until I realized that we can expand the economy just by expanding the number of people with real wage growth. What I’m saying is if we close this year with only the bottom 70% in recession, it is going to be seen as a win by the administration. And the economy will expand. Furthermore moving people from net negative wages to net zero is a positive move. This says that wage growth moving in the right direction but not a beneficial way.
