Dear Coffee,
Through good days and bad, through the successful me and the shattered me,
through the hyperactive highs and the dull, quiet lows
you’ve never left my side.
You’ve seen me in every shade - the dreamer, the doer, the doubter
and somehow, you’ve held me through it all.
When the world moved too fast, you slowed me down.
When silence felt heavy, you filled it with warmth.
When I forgot myself, you reminded me who I was.
And as I stand here, bathed in this soft ray of sun, thinking it through
I hope you never fail to make me feel the way you do right now,
calm, seen, and whole.
Because the thought of losing this feeling,
of sipping and not finding that same quiet comfort,
