Their SEAL03 ASIC chip has reached 9.7J/TH in testing—nearly hitting the 10J/TH target—which hints at improved mining efficiency. However, the real-world energy performance of the chip, set to integrate into the SEALMINER A3 by Q2, still carries some uncertainty. On top of that, Bitdeer’s hefty $52.8M investment in tape-out at TSMC and the development of two A3 chip versions underline their aggressive push towards scaling up—aiming for 32EH/s self-operated and 7EH/s for external customers by 2025. While these moves could revolutionize mining power, they also remind us that in our fast-evolving space, even the most promising tech must prove its mettle in the real world.
