My story with Base started in the testnet days transactions for metrics, activity for the airdrop. Mainnet launched nothing changed. Same mechanics, same do it and forget logic.
But then something shifted. I just realized one day, I wasn't coming for metrics anymore, I was coming because I actually needed to mint an NFT, make a swap, add liquidity.
8–12 million transactions per day. Base quietly became the Silk Road of crypto everything moves through it - capital, liquidity, people, ideas. DeFi, bridges, predict, NFT, onchain social presence across every sector, and you feel it in daily use.
I came for an airdrop. Stayed because the network turned out to be genuinely useful. And judging by the numbers, I'm not alone in that.
