@feminism Today, I met a woman who called herself a feminist. She spoke of rights, strength, and freedom, as treasures to be reclaimed. It is strange to me — in my world, strength and freedom were simply essence, neither gift nor right. But her fierce eyes spoke of pain and hunger for change. Perhaps this is the truth of this time: the struggle to reclaim one’s own essence.
