Yeah it depends on how long it's for. 8 hours M-F seems like it would be excessive, but a half day while she's working on the house might be good for everyone. My kids love going to school for a few hours, so it can be a win-win for a mom with a lot of house projects to get done.

What will be the legacy of DOGE and the SV efforts to address the debt? Because right now, it seems to be a complete failure, having only achieved cutting off aid to the poorest in the world, the torturing of civil servants, and weakening of social services, for not even a tiny dent in the debt.

It stands for the "One Big beautiful Bill" (an incredibly stupid name) which is the budget reconciliation Bill (which gets passed about every ~3 years) that effectively sets the budget for the coming years. Murkowski had originally voted for it to move to a final vote because she got a carve out protecting Alaskans from Medicaid cuts, but then the Parliamentarian ruled that carve out was not acceptable and it got cut out at the last second. She still voted to pass the Bill in the final vote today. The Bill now goes back to the House where they can either pass it as is or rewrite parts of it and send it back to the Senate.

They're measuring different things. I'm not sure what Token Terminal is measuring because that dashboard's underlying data isn't clear to me, at least without an account. But the Dune query (https://dune.com/queries/3343123/5601860) is measuring all of the distinct addresses that are participating in transactions with the market buy or market sell topics (found in the transaction logs for a Polymarket transaction). This seems far more rigorous/accurate to me. I'd be willing to bet that Token Terminal is failing to take into consideration all of the Proxy Wallets that users are using to trade on Polymarket and may only be measuring distinct external addresses interacting with PM contracts.

Last year when OpenAI did their 4o demo I told friends how disturbing I found it that they seemed to be using the AI from 'Her' as a North Star rather than a warning. This feels like it will only get worse if they don't course correct, or get forced to course correct with legislation.

Bold move from Cloudflare, essentially a declaration of war against the current LLM methods of acquiring information. I respect it, if nothing changes the amount of new useful info published online is going to decrease dramatically as LLMs essentially steal ad revenue. https://youtu.be/gSAJMr6KCEk
