It’s a shift from punishment to rewards

Also decentralization in other areas: How solar panels and wind decentralize energy generation, and how drones are decentralizing the battlefield. For instance I think the days of huge aircraft carriers are numbered. 

Absolutely not crypto related and reward based though, but I think decentralization is a trend continuing in many areas in society, for better or worse.
