Did you know that you can detect COVID or other respiratory disease on your smartwatch days before feeling symptoms? Wearables and longitudinal monitoring are changing wellness and medicine. I was part of this work so happy to answer any questions. https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.07.06.20147512v1

definitely!! I've experienced it on myself. Apple Watch detected a bronchitis before the symptoms showed up. look at these casts: https://farcaster.xyz/alor/0x66e19237 https://farcaster.xyz/alor/0x8d362ee6 https://farcaster.xyz/alor/0x523cc739 vitals where off a week before the real bronchitis: https://farcaster.xyz/alor/0x14333cf2

Looks really interesting! My initial thought is that the heart rate variability would be a non-specific indicator of physiological stressors. I think the paper does discuss that it isn't necessary specific to COVID, but very useful in the pandemic context

Does it matter if the smartwatch is for the Apple brand or Samsung?

Is this related to the Stanford myPHD app? Because I use it daily and love it.
