Lifted the elephant garlic this weekend at the /allotment, and strung them up under the canopy of a tree to dry a few days before storing. Pretty decent haul this year! Check out the size of these bad boiz! πΌπ§

They turned out well! Such a massive root ball. I meant to ask, have you tried black garlic? My mind was blown first time I had it.

Thanks! No, we haven't tried black garlic but I'd be interested to, for sure! If I ever run across any for sale I might pick up a few bulbs to give it a go!

Itβs actually just regular garlic, aged into a caramelized buttery spread. Perfect with any meat or veggie dish, especially beef ribs π₯© You could even try it with a few of your giant bulbs if youβre looking for a super unique flavor https://www.thespruceeats.com/black-garlic-4165384

Oooh wow, I thought it was some kind of darker/purple variety or something! That's pretty neat... I wonder how it's aged... We stock up our harvest garlic for use over the year, so could be neat to try to do this ourselves! Thanks for the tip, I will keep an eye out to see if I can buy some to try at a supermarket!

Have finished reading the article... seems like it's a bit of a careful and slow process in the slow cooker, not something we can likely try ourselves, at least not right now! But this seems very interesting, will deffo try this whenever I see them for sale.
