Engineers using cursor/claude code create unmaintainable code. As soon as the generated codebase is too large, LLMs will collapse and become entirely useless and then humans will need to rewrite everything, so in total you end up needing more resources than if LLMs were not involved at all. Still good enough for most crypto projects though, an industry where 90% of projects don't survive for longer than a year and those that do suddenly have a shitload of resources to spend on human developers to fix the mess that is the codebase created by LLMs. Doesn't make it efficient though, just accustomed to our stupid economy that values short-term gains more than long-term because buggy demos and MVPs is how you attract those that have money but no brain (typically dubbed "investors" or "VCs").
