The water content in watermelon is less than in cucumber - about 90% versus 95%. The most expensive variety of watermelon is “Densuke”. It has no seeds, and its skin is so dark that it appears black. There are dwarf watermelons in the world that grow to only 3-5 cm in diameter. They taste similar to cucumbers and are sometimes used as salad ingredients.
