Just like freemium games introduced a new meta and player behavior... gaming tokens have created a new meta of their own.
There is a new archetype of player -> 'The Investor' who does not play the game directly but rather participates in the ecosystem via the token itself while providing value beyond of what a regular player would.
The Investor is a user who will:
+ Drive liquidity and volume
+ Attract new users via UGC
+ Provide organic marketing for your game
+ Contribute to sentiment and overall visibility
There is too much focus on fun gameplay when it's already a given. It is a game after all.
Token mechanics are just as if not more important than the gameplay itself in the phase we are in now.
