Follow the money? Arms have proven business record for at least 40 years, and recurring demand. Humanoids fit short-term narratives to profit in warehouses and other closed environments. Other types of robots need too many guarantees (medical), small markets (space for now), require high reliability (cars, space, military), or lack appeal as seen as commodities (Roomba like).
