Based in UK, legal here - currently my stance is homeschooling 5 to 10yo then re-evaluating on the way (also based on feedback from kids ofc)

I expect University question to change a lot 15 years from now

Have answers ready for
- how will they socialise?
- how will they learn perspectives that are opposed to yours?
- how will they get a university education?

Also be ready to “show off” learning theories etc. People don’t like others who are different

Where are you based? Where do you want to live (homeschooling isn’t legal everywhere)?

First years are crucial. But then also heard about someone whose only learning to read at 17. Never cared about it before and parents belief intrinsic motivation is everything 🤷‍♀️

Not a parent yet but I feel I already made up my mind about schools

That’s why I homework. 
Colleagues or clients unable to reply all. 
It’s a plague. Not only in schools.

I've been thinking about homeschooling a lot and it's because I don't want to compromise on the values of my kids. I want to be able to screen what they'd be taking in, not the nonsense school dish out these days
