2026 is the 40th anniversary of the Legend of Zelda series. I remember playing the original games on NES with my dad in the early 90s, and Ocarina of Time would later become one of my most influential gaming experiences.
The time between the release of the original Zelda and Ocarina of Time was 12 years. The time between the release of OoT and now? 18 years.
I used to view OoT as the midway bridge between the retro and modern eras of Zelda, but now it’s just old like me.

Lots of opinions flying around on creator coins lately, and honestly I agree with most of them. Though much of the discourse has been abstracted through the trader’s lens. Here’s my take.
Sure, it’s a “coin”… but imo it’s not a monetary investment to make money — it’s a social endorsement of a creator’s contributions to the ecosystem.
Approaching CC as a way to profit is the wrong approach. It’s a bonus, but that’s not what it’s about. It’s about identity, about linking yourself to an artist, musician, etc by collecting their coin.
It’s more like the keys to the creator’s fan club. As an artist, if someone buys my coin, great. But I’d rather gift it to those who engage with me or support my art. If they sweep it for some pennies, no big deal… but that’s how you know who truly supports you as a creator. The holders are the social investors and community members.

Any Blazed Cats holders in the house?
On this day 4 years ago we released the big Halloween update, with new art and seasonal traits that I created for the collection. It was the very first 10k project I was ever involved with.
The new dynamic traits could be toggled on and off directly on the NFT through our proprietary qNFT tech (now non-functional, unfortunately).
This project was the reason I bought my first ipad and started using procreate, and--even though it isn't active anymore--it's still one of my favorite projects that I've ever done, and one of the greatest communities I've ever been a part of.
Every spooky season I look back fondly on this artwork and feel a sense of pride. If you're still hodling, I hope you do too.
