Fun video with a practical example of iOS app reverse engineering.
I spent a week once a few years ago reverse engineering the private API signing logic of an app I was using that didn't (still doesn't) have a public API. Have been using their private API ever since!

I was curious because I remembered an old video I had watched back when learning the basics of iOS reverse engineering in the first place. Found it!
I remember I even bought an old (semi-broken) second iPhone to jailbreak and be able to run a debug server on. Fun memories!

This guy’s content is stellar. Can’t believe he doesn't have over 50K subscribers by now.
How to bypass Apple’s artificially-imposed widget animation limits... by expressing everything in terms of masks, custom font ligatures, SwiftUI `Text(Date(), style: .timer)`s that only update at one frame per second, and the internal “clock hand rotation” animation originally intended for the iOS Clock app. 🤯 https:/

Ha, yes I came across his channel via the clock animation video as well!
But I think his app reverse engineering videos are particularly great. Might just be my bias though, I think reverse engineering is a super super fun topic in general, and he is both competent and good at explaining!

Oh that sounds like an amazing application for zkTLS! I don't think I can help with this though, I only have very basic hobbyist reverse engineering skills. But good luck!

That’s seriously impressive! 🔍
Reverse engineering private APIs takes real patience and skill — and keeping it working over time is even more impressive. Hats off! 🎩
Also, totally agree — practical examples like this video make the concepts so much easier to grasp.
