Farcaster isn’t built like the usual social apps. This isn’t just a place to tweet and disappear into the algorithm. This is social with real ownership and real consequences.
On other platforms, your account belongs to the company. On Farcaster, your account belongs to your wallet. No email. No password reset. No support to beg. If you own your wallet, you own your identity. Even if one app shuts you out, your profile still exists on the network.
And here’s the real difference:
You don’t just talk here. You mint, tip, trade, earn, and interact onchain directly from the feed. Your posts can actually move money, not just attention.
But don’t romanticize it too much. You should be careful. There’s no undo button in self-custody. One careless click can cost you. That’s the price of freedom.
Web2 is comfort.
Farcaster is ownership.
That’s why it’s not just another app.
