Microsoft and OpenAI have clarified that, despite new funding, partnerships, and infrastructure expansions, the contractual definition of AGI and the formal process for determining its achievement remain unchanged. Nothing alters the governance framework around how AGI is defined or recognized. Their official definition of AGI states: "A system is being developed that can perform most economically valuable tasks better than humans, and whose development is officially declared AGI by the OpenAI board."
