The sun, red as a falling ember,
rolls slow to the ocean’s rim.
The sky tears open in a burning orange streak,
purple blood dripping, drop by drop, into the clouds.
White-crested waves kneel to worship the gold,
coconut shadows slant long—like a farewell.
Wind carries salt and the last breath of day, silence — only the earth’s heart beats slow inside the chest of dusk.
