If you are not rich and you want to build a house, avoid asking the total cost, just get a design of a simple dream house with a quotation, then buy materials at your own pace, It will take time but eventually you`ll build, asking the total cost will scare you off always.
Fact is there's no way you can build a three bedroom house without it getting over 10 to 15 million, and that for most people is not an easy figure to be in your account.
Start with what you have.
