First Draft Club

Spam Labels have been public for a month and we've seen significant updates to the number of casters with Level 2 Labels (the good one) and the consequences of the Level 0 Label (the worst one) via the Great Follower Purge of February 2025. 

With a resurgence of bot-like accounts this weekend, the algorithm will only get more aggressive. 

I've made significant revisions on this article as the team has given us more clarity around the algorithm as well as included resources on how to save your friends from spam jail and a thread on the teams thinking about spam. 

Please remember this is guidance, not gospel. The algo is secret.  Always appreciate any feedback or areas I can clarify.

I’ve been meaning to complete going through my followers so I can pass the list along.  I think they are looking to reverse the spam statuses of those that are mislabeled.  I can imagine it’s very very frustrating.

I’m gonna put together a list of accounts that I follow that I know are not spam.  I’ll be sure to add yours to it.  Hopefully, we can get this reversed as it’s obviously a mistake.  You are not alone.

The good news is, I got a priority notification that you quote casted me. This would NOT happen if you really had a spam label. It could be that you got mislabeled on the 16th and as the team is reviewing they saw your account and fixed it. Now you may have a better spam label, but we won’t know until Thursday evening US time when the public data set is updated. 

Don’t lose hope yet. It could just be a mistake.
