The Great Wall of China
Stretching across northern China, the Great Wall is a remarkable feat of ancient engineering. It was built over several dynasties to protect the country from invasions. Different sections of the wall offer various experiences. The Badaling section is the most popular and easily accessible, with well-preserved watchtowers and wide paths. The Mutianyu section is known for its beautiful scenery, surrounded by mountains and forests. Hiking along the Great Wall gives you a sense of history and grandeur, as you can imagine the soldiers who once guarded it.
