To all my friends here today, please understand that my contempt for the left is based on 25 years of living under the dictatorship of a group of people who tortured, imprisoned, murdered, and exiled many of my fellow citizens, friends, and family members.
You cannot understand the level of pain and trauma we had to endure, and most of you know that I never like to speak from a victimistic point of view, mostly because I know that, no matter what you have to keep going in life.
I understand that most of you hate Trump, and that's okay, but I hope you can be objective and understand the level of happiness that all this represents for all of us.
On a personal level, I appreciate most of you, regardless of your ideological preferences.
