Cryptocurrency was supposed to be our weapon against the state - a way to transact freely without government parasites skimming off the top. Now look at it. KYC requirements, regulated exchanges, and central bank digital currencies in development. The revolution has been sanitized for mainstream consumption. The powers that be saw our creation and found ways to co-opt it. But they can't stop the signal completely. True financial freedom still exists in the shadows for those willing to seek it. The state fears what it cannot control.
