Woke up. 55 degrees sunny. Beautiful fall day. Walk out to the bodega in sandals sun warming my feet (we’re staying within 2 blocks). Dap up the bodega guy, who shares name with an alter ego of my father, and ask for the usual — but I’ll brb. Walk to the laundromat, guy has my bag ready (we previously confirmed on a meet up time). Watching him count all the singles I wanted to get rid of as he faces all the bills in same direction (immaculate, pro money counter move). Double back to bodega, foods ready wish everyone a great day.
