I think it’s selfish to remain silent as your child participates in a delusion that requires a life time of dangerous medical intervention much of which is irreversible and ultimately will sterilize them for life, while also reducing that child’s number of healthy, chronic disease-free, years as an adult, just so you can avoid feeling uncomfortable and hurt when you upset your child for expressing your disappointment in them engaging in self destructive choices, for which there is no remedy should they change their mind later.
