Web2 taught us: "the edge isn’t the infrastructure, it’s the portal." The undisputed tech leaders of the last decade (Apple, Meta, Microsoft,…) all had one thing in common: proximity to the final user. Value didn’t settle in the wires; it was captured at the surface.
