Recently, I realized that appreciation comes with age. The older you get, the more you appreciate even the tiniest gifts. I was quite heady as a teenager. I never understood how hard it was for my parents to provide for my siblings and me. Remember how hard life was at that time? Yet it was as if my parents weren’t even trying at all. Whenever I remember those days, it makes me sad. I realized how unappreciative I was to my parents and how much I took their efforts for granted.
