Amalgam is an experiment in intentional collaboration.
Most art platforms treat creation as a single act by a single hand. Amalgam starts from a different premise: that meaningful work can be built in layers, by many people, over time — if the system makes intention visible.
On Amalgam, an artwork doesn’t fork. It amalgamates.
Each contribution is a deliberate layer added to what already exists, within a limited window. Earlier layers persist. Later layers respond. The final piece carries the history of decisions that formed it.
This isn’t about chaos or crowdsourcing for its own sake. It’s about designing a space where collaboration has structure, time has weight, and authorship is cumulative rather than erased.
We’re starting simple and evolving carefully.
