Reality check: In a recent interview, Trump said that Russia now has the “upper hand” in the war against Ukraine and blamed Zelenskyy for rejecting a U.S.-proposed peace plan that would have forced major territorial concessions. 
According to him, Washington sent money to Kyiv … but “Ukraine lost territory.” He compared Zelenskyy to a salesman who sold a bad deal. 
The proposed “peace plan” reportedly demands Ukraine cede regions like Donbas a huge concession for Kyiv.
