This section stuck with me because it captures the weight of Rada’s impossible choice. I believe he made the right call by saving the people during the external attack but that moment also became the inflection point for everything that followed. You could even call it the beginning of the Luminary apocalypse. It’s hard to say whether refusing to help the Regence would have prevented what came next. Maybe it was fate. Either way, that choice changed everything.
