The original vision was decentralization and a transformation of the internet, but in reality, there are very few real-world applications—what we got instead was a playground for capital and speculation. The most successful use cases of blockchain have actually been gambling, gray markets, and financial speculation. DeFi had its moment, but most projects either collapsed, got hacked, or turned out to be exit scams. NFTs, once hyped as an art revolution, have largely become worthless assets. Web3 was heavily promoted, yet it failed to deliver any tangible value to everyday users. As for meme coins, they have become the "truth" of crypto—everyone now acknowledges that it's pure gambling, with no illusions about real-world utility or technological breakthroughs. It’s all about speculation and musical chairs. But after the meme coin frenzy dies down, what story is left to tell? Do you think a new narrative will emerge, or has the “golden era” of crypto already come to an end?
