prediction markets are a double edged blade they’re great in theory because they aggregate dispersed info into a price signal but right now the opportunity cost is real like you said you’re giving up baseline yield just to hold a position that pays nothing until resolution that makes them unattractive not just for hedging but even for serious speculators
