A note on unlocks during a bad market (ptsd from 2022). As we plunge lower - remember it gets quite cold at the depths of the ocean, it's nice to release the weight and float to the surface to catch a breath. Liquid assets can be quite heavy during a bad market, but do not fret they're easy to let go of. Pick the ones you can carry, and kick like hell to hold your head above the turbulent surface. If your asset has unlocks, your bags will become heavier. If your bags get heavier, you must learn how to hold your breath or kick stronger, otherwise you must let them go or risk drowning. Remember that VCs are supposed to make a return on investment, and they are very good at letting heavy bags (full of profit) sink to the ocean in turbulent seas. In fact, they have ships that specialize in this sort of thing, and even submarines that can retrieve bags in better conditions. It's about survival. Everyone's keeping their head above water. The faster you drop your heavy bags, the faster you can swim down to the the bottom once you have enough air in your lungs to dive again when the storm looks to be clearing :)
