user can’t get rewards without opening link. we don’t have claim function, we send automatically. using x api for marketing is heavily restricted. that’s why many projects, including kaito, had to shut down. whole point of this feature is clear: - expand beyond farcaster. activity dropped more than 80 percent. og casters are barely casting. check the mindshare heatmap and you’ll see it. - allow people to get visibility through known accounts on farcaster. payouts are pegged to mindshare so it’s still the most secure budget system for founders. daily eligible users are around 1.5k. - keep it simple instead of building overly complex systems. - cost per click is already low and we’re planning to reduce it further by removing the extra 10 percent protocol fee for founders. so far qr has worked same way. opening link is enough to claim. afaik people are happy with that mechanism. long term plan is reducing dependency on farcaster and gradually migrating toward x. this was first step. second step is, we’re building a web app only for launching open boost campaigns. we need new blood. dune data already shows people don’t want to boost on farcaster anymore. we either adapt or die. third step is enabling agents to shill whatever they want, token page or product. after that we’ll design a creator classification system for twitter. it won’t be mindshare based. that’s too expensive and not sustainable. it has to be internal. we can’t build our entire business on someone else’s scoring system. if they shut down, we shut down. there is a clear roadmap for me. instead of wasting time and money trying to perfectly verify engagement on x, we’re building systems that are net positive for both protocol and users. eg. some people suggested verifying whether users added mini app instead of just opening it. happy to hear feedback, but many of these ideas are not technically possible at the protocol level. that data is private and we can’t fetch it. overall, thanks for all feedback. being permissionless has upsides and downsides. but i’m here to build best flywheels in universe on base. 🫡
